Julián González, new editor of the Journal of Nanoscience and Nanotechnology

Julian Gonzalez professor of Applied Physics of the University of the Basque Country (EHU) has been appointed Associate Editor of the Journal of Nanoscience and Nanotechnology (JNN, edited by the American Scientific Publishers). It is one of the most prestigious journals within the area of nanoscience and nanotechnology, with an impact index of 2.017 (the impact index is a bibliometric index that measures objectively the impact of scientific journals based on the number of bibliographic quotes).

In the scientific community, it is a great recognition of researchers’ trajectory to be appointed member of the Editorial Board of a prestigious journal. These appointments are made according to the research credit, and the prestige of a journal is guaranteed, to a certain extent, by the relevance of the members of the Editorial Board. That is why prestigious journals try to integrate in editorial boards people that can contribute in areas of the journals subject matter. In this sense, professor Gonzalez will be head of the Magnetic Nanostructures area of the Journal of Nanoscience and Nanotechnology. This area has special interest in the field of magnetic recording, magnetic nanosensors, etc.

Among his contributions in the area of nanomagnetism during the last years, it is worth underlining the study of magnetic interactions in nanocrystalline alloys, which have a great interest within the specialised scientific community.
