  • 2015 International Spring University on Ecosystem Services Modeling

    The Basque Centre for Climate Change (BC3) in collaboration with Conservation International, the University of Vermont and Earth Economics, is announcing the 2015 edition of the International Spring University on Ecosystem Services Modeling.


    The International Spring University on Ecosystem Services (ES) Modeling is the third edition of an annual 2-week intensive course that aims to build a new generation of actors, in research, policy and management, who can profitably use ecosystem services models to address and solve sustainability problems. In its very successful second edition, launched in the Spring of 2014, a large number of applications were received, from professionals in the field, academics and governmental actors.


    The course follows a problem-based paradigm, in which advanced Ecosystem Services modeling techniques are learned from both theoretical discussion and practice.

    The XII European Meeting on Glial Cell Function in Health and Disease will be held in Bilbao. The Glial Meeting series has become a tradition since the first gathering in 1994 at the University of Heildelberg.

    Subsequent Glial Meetings have been held throughout Europe every second year. After the outstanding success of the Glia Meeting 2013 in Berlin with more than 1.000 participants, the conference returns to Spain and it will be hosted in Bilbao. Bilbao is a lively city that combines tradition with modernity and that has become a cultural reference in Southern Europe.
